Help on the way for West Sacramento homebrewers

Help on the way for West Sacramento homebrewers

WEST SACRAMENTO – One of the bastions of homebrewers in Folsom and Roseville is coming to West Sacramento.

The Brewmeister is set to open a new location in West Sac in early 2014, according to an email from owner Erik Schmid.

Founded in 1991, the Brewmeister opened a second location in Roseville a couple years ago, to cater to the needs of a growing number of local brewing enthusiasts.

Schmid hopes the new location will reduce the wear and tear on brewers nearer the downtown area. “We want to thank all of you for your patronage, and especially those who travel from West Sac, Natomas, Davis and further, to get to us, we hope you find the new location convenient.”

No opening date or specific location was announced for the third Brewmeister location.

Twitter Plans to Add Shopping Feature

Twitter has hired ex-CEO of Ticketmaster Nathan Hubbard, to be the site’s first head of commerce. Working under Adam Bain (head of revenue), Hubbard’s job is to make the social media platform more retailer friendly. According to Bloomberg, Hubbard will be partnering with retailers (and payment service companies as well) to sell goods via Twitter and help them leverage the platform to optimize sales.

Seeing as many retailers and brands are already advertising through Twitter, it would make sense to integrate tools to enable shopping through their tweets. Essentially, your Twitter feed can potentially turn into a live-stream version of the mall, where goods and products are constantly tweeted in real-time. It seems like the social platform is creating another stream of revenue as it preps for its public offering rumoured to happen in 2014... Read More

I Found My Fortune at Nugget!

Reading my shout outs about my favorite grocer is nothing new and here, again, is one more reason why.  Nugget offers their customers a shopping comparison survey, which is rather daunting and perhaps not for folks who are either in a big fat hurry or really don't know much about the full food shopping experience, but worth the effort for those of us who enjoy everything food related.  As a reward for your hard work, not to mention the grand incentive in the first place, they throw your name in a drawing for a chance to win a $1000 gift card, a food lover's fortune. They asked, I answered!
