Bridal Expo in Old Sacramento July 19

Old Sacramento hosts more than 200 weddings a year, according to their Business Association, plus there are many wedding product offerings and scenic backdrops among its merchants.  It's only natural that a bridal show would be held there.

Bridal Expo is Sunday, July 19, aboard the Delta King Hotel on Front Street in Old Sacramento.  The show hours are 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

This unique show includes a Treasure Hunt for wedding couples. They will find clues that will lead them from one spot to the other, until they find the Treasure - a honeymoon stay in Italy.

Wedding pros will be on hand to give the couples in-depth information to help them be better equipped to plan their weddings. Services and products represented include photography, videography, catering, venues, gowns, corsets, djs, music, florists, cakes, jewelry, beauty products and more.

Help on the way for West Sacramento homebrewers

WEST SACRAMENTO – One of the bastions of homebrewers in Folsom and Roseville is coming to West Sacramento.

The Brewmeister is set to open a new location in West Sac in early 2014, according to an email from owner Erik Schmid.

Founded in 1991, the Brewmeister opened a second location in Roseville a couple years ago, to cater to the needs of a growing number of local brewing enthusiasts.

Schmid hopes the new location will reduce the wear and tear on brewers nearer the downtown area. “We want to thank all of you for your patronage, and especially those who travel from West Sac, Natomas, Davis and further, to get to us, we hope you find the new location convenient.”

No opening date or specific location was announced for the third Brewmeister location.
